The aim of the Camping Weekend is to give dads and their children an opportunity to spend some special time together. This weekend will hopefully mean you get to know your children’s friends too. Although the event is intended for Dads, we fully understand that sometimes a Dad cannot be present. We welcome and invite any parent or carer of a child to join us.
Please note: This camping weekend is only for pupils who currently attend Oatlands School, accompanied by one parent or carer. We are unable to accommodate additional children, additional parents or whole families due to space limitations.
VERY IMPORTANT
Entry to the campsite is only allowed from midday on Friday, 12 July 2024. No campers will be allowed access to the campsite any earlier than that.
Offload area is in the field adjacent to the campsite where cars may remain parked for the weekend
Tents must be pitched as directed by the campsite managers
Campervans / Winnebagos are not allowed. Do not bring them - you will not be allowed in!
No personal BBQ's or Fire Pits are permitted by the campsite management
The campsite sponsored bonfire will be extinguished 11pm on both nights for safety reasons
No electrical outlets are available on the campsite
Campsite managers and Bat and Ball staff will be in attendance throughout the weekend to ensure both you and your children’s enjoyment and safety. Please treat them with respect and follow instructions provided by them.
Important that you READ AND NOTE the following:
The PTA is running this as a social event for fathers and their accompanied children. Parents / guardians need to be aware of typical hazards that exist on the campsite, e.g. the camp bonfire, cooking, tent guy ropes, stings, bites, tree stumps, rabbit holes, cars etc.
Parents / Guardians must agree to adhere to the rules & regulations pertaining to the campsite at all times and to follow all instructions from campsite staff and organisers.
Registration indicates that the accompanying adult accepts full responsibility for their own welfare, and the welfare and behaviour of the children who will be in their care during the weekend. Oatlands PTA have not taken out any insurance policies in relation to any damage or injury and any parent or guardian concerned about this aspect should arrange their own cover.
